No government building, in Heidi’s experience, is anything like cozy, much less comfortable, but Eddie Flores has made the most of his office on 2nd Street. It sits on the corner of the second floor of the Criminal Division building, one of three District Attorney offices in Washington Square, and though it boasts the same industrial carpet and boxy windows as every other room in the building, Eddie’s draped it in Old World charm.
Heidi feels some of the tension unwind from between her shoulder blades when she crosses the threshold.
